A Digital Mindfulness Application for Young Adults with Type 1 Diabetes

Researchers at Yale are conducting a research study to test a mindfulness app among young adults with type 1 diabetes.

Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of your thoughts and feelings in the moment without judgment or negative reaction.

Study activities will include 12 weeks of using the mindfulness app and videocalls with surveys and interviews about the app. The time commitment is 16 hours. Tasks can be completed on your schedule. No in-person visits are required.

You will be compensated up to $150 for completing all procedures.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To participate in the study, you must be:

    • Between the ages of 18 and 30 years old
    • Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for at least 1 year
    • Using of a continuous glucose monitor for at least 2 months
    • Receiving diabetes care at Yale
    • Able to use a personal smartphone
    • Able to read and write in English
