Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation

Definition

Ventricular tachycardia ablation is a medical procedure used to treat ventricular tachycardia, a potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disorder characterized by rapid, irregular heartbeats originating from the lower chambers of the heart. The procedure involves using catheters to deliver radiofrequency energy or cryoenergy to specific areas of the heart muscle, creating small scars that disrupt the abnormal electrical pathways causing the arrhythmia.
