Varicocele Embolization

Definition

Varicocele embolization is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicoceles, which are enlarged veins in the scrotum. The procedure involves inserting a catheter into a vein and guiding it to the varicocele. Coils or other embolic agents are then used to block blood flow to the enlarged veins, causing them to shrink and relieve symptoms.
