Definition
Tracheal congenital anomalies are a group of rare developmental abnormalities affecting the trachea, or windpipe, that are present at birth. These anomalies can result in respiratory difficulties, feeding problems, and other complications. Common types of tracheal congenital anomalies include tracheal stenosis, tracheomalacia, and tracheoesophageal fistula.
