Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that primarily affects females and leads to severe impairments in language, motor skills, and coordination. It is characterized by normal early development followed by a loss of previously acquired skills and the onset of intellectual disability, repetitive hand movements, and other symptoms.
