Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs)

Definition

Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) are a group of non-invasive tests that measure how well the lungs are working, including their ability to take in and release air, and to move oxygen into the bloodstream. These tests can help diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other lung disorders.
