Prostatic Arterial Embolization (PAE)

Definition

Prostatic arterial embolization (PAE) is a minimally invasive medical treatment that involves the injection of small particles into the arteries supplying blood to the prostate gland. This procedure aims to reduce blood flow to the prostate, leading to shrinkage and alleviation of symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or other prostate-related conditions.
