Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) is a condition where the posterior tibial tendon, which runs along the inside of the ankle and foot, becomes inflamed or torn, leading to pain and instability in the foot and ankle. This can result in flatfoot deformity and difficulty walking or performing daily activities.
