Osteochondroma
Definition
Osteochondroma is a benign bone tumor that develops on the surface of a bone near the growth plate. It is characterized by an overgrowth of cartilage and bone, and is most commonly found in long bones, such as the femur, tibia, and humerus. Osteochondromas can cause pain, swelling, and restricted range of motion if they compress nearby nerves, blood vessels, or other structures.
