Definition

Oligohydramnios is a condition characterized by an insufficient amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus during pregnancy. This can result in various complications, including fetal growth restriction, congenital abnormalities, and preterm birth. It may be caused by factors such as maternal dehydration, placental insufficiency, or fetal urinary tract abnormalities.
