Myxofibrosarcoma

Definition

Myxofibrosarcoma is a rare type of malignant soft tissue tumor that arises from fibroblastic cells and is characterized by the presence of myxoid stroma. It commonly occurs in the extremities, particularly in the limbs and trunk, and can infiltrate surrounding tissues. Myxofibrosarcoma is more prevalent in older adults and has a tendency to recur locally after surgical removal.
