Definition

Medial collateral ligament (MCL) repair is a surgical procedure performed to repair or reconstruct a torn or damaged MCL in the knee. The MCL is a band of tissue that connects the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia) on the inner side of the knee, providing stability and preventing excessive inward movement of the knee joint.
