Low-Grade Fibromyxoid Sarcoma

Definition

Low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma (LGFMS) is a rare type of soft tissue tumor characterized by slow-growing, painless masses that primarily affect the deep soft tissues of the extremities, trunk, and neck. These tumors are composed of fibrous and myxoid tissue and have a low potential for metastasis, but can recur locally if not completely removed.
