Liver Elastography

Definition

Liver elastography is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that measures the stiffness or elasticity of the liver tissue. It is used to assess the presence and severity of liver scarring (fibrosis), which can be caused by various liver diseases such as hepatitis, fatty liver disease, or cirrhosis.
