Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (silent reflux)

Definition

Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), also known as silent reflux, is a condition in which stomach acid flows back into the throat and irritates the larynx and pharynx. This can lead to various symptoms and complications, often without the typical heartburn associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
