Definition

Laryngeal papillomatosis, also known as recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, is a rare condition characterized by the growth of benign tumors (papillomas) in the larynx or voice box. These growths can cause hoarseness, voice changes, and breathing difficulties. The condition is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and can affect both children and adults.
