Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma

Definition

Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA) is a rare, benign tumor that occurs predominantly in adolescent males. It originates in the nasopharynx, the area behind the nasal cavity and above the throat, and is characterized by its highly vascular nature. JNA can cause nasal obstruction, recurrent nosebleeds, and facial swelling, and may invade surrounding structures if left untreated.
