Double Outlet Right Ventricle

Definition

Double outlet right ventricle (DORV) is a rare congenital heart defect characterized by both the aorta and pulmonary artery arising from the right ventricle. This abnormality results in oxygen-poor blood circulating through the body. DORV always occurs with another congenital heart defect called ventricular septal defect (VSD).
