Colonic Stent

Definition

A colonic stent is a medical device used to provide temporary or permanent relief from the symptoms of a blocked or narrowed colon, often due to colorectal cancer or other gastrointestinal conditions. The stent is inserted into the colon using an endoscope and expands to open up the blocked area, allowing for the passage of stool and improving bowel function.
