Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

Definition

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a type of cancer that originates in the bone marrow and leads to the production of an excessive number of abnormal lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. These abnormal cells accumulate in the blood and bone marrow, impairing the immune system and potentially causing anemia, infections, and other complications.
