Cavernous sinus thrombosis is a rare and potentially life-threatening medical condition characterized by the formation of a blood clot within the cavernous sinuses, which are located on either side of the pituitary gland in the brain. This can lead to impaired blood flow, increased pressure on nearby structures, and possible infection.
