Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental health condition characterized by a pattern of unstable relationships, intense emotions, impulsive behavior, and a distorted self-image. Individuals with BPD often experience difficulties in regulating their emotions and may engage in self-destructive behaviors or have a history of self-harm or suicidal ideation.
