Biography
Ramya Kaushik, MD, is an internist who provides general care for patients at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). She is the chief resident for the YNHH internal medicine residency program with plans to pursue a career in pulmonary/critical care medicine.
She became a physician “to help patients and families through what may be some of the toughest challenges in their lives and celebrate their successes with them.” She says, “Every patient story is different, and understanding the priorities, cultures, and background of my patients allows me to provide the best care possible.”
Dr. Kaushik has Interests in post-hospital outcome research, physician advocacy, and medical education.
