Lynda Rosenfeld, MD

Lynda E. Rosenfeld, MD, is a cardiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating irregular heartbeats. Her message to new patients: “We will figure this out and help your life be better.”

Dr. Rosenfeld became a physician because of her interest in heartbeat irregularities and their treatment. Her current research is focused on remote monitoring of implantable devices that control and correct heart arrhythmias. Such devices, along with major advances in cardiac care, have revolutionized the field. “I’m struck by the amazing progress in cardiology in general and electrophysiology in particular during my professional lifetime,” she says.

A professor of medicine (cardiovascular) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Rosenfeld finds her greatest satisfaction in helping patients manage difficult health challenges, and then watching them go on to lead happy and productive lives. “I have many patients who are memorable for their incredible courage, strength and humor,” she says.
