Trial Purpose and Description
A pilot study designed to assess the feasibility of parent-training manual for pediatric avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
1. Parents of males and females > 6 and < 18 years of age
2. Males and females > 6 and < 18 years of age.
3. DSM-V diagnosis of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) as established by a clinical assessment.
4. Child does not have a serious medical condition.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Current DSM-V diagnosis of an eating disorder that is not ARFID.
2. Organic mental disorders, psychotic disorders, or pervasive developmental disorders.
3. Presence of severe behavioral problems that require a more immediate treatment.
4. Presence of a serious medical condition by history.
5. BMI <5%
