Triple X Syndrome, Trisomy X

Definition

Triple X syndrome, also known as trisomy X, is a genetic condition characterized by the presence of an extra X chromosome in each of a female's cells. This results in a total of 47 chromosomes instead of the usual 46. The condition can lead to a range of physical, developmental, and behavioral symptoms, but its severity and manifestations vary widely among affected individuals.
