Panner's disease is a rare orthopedic condition that affects the growth plate of the elbow joint, specifically the capitellum. It is characterized by the loss of blood supply to the bone, leading to bone death and fragmentation. Panner's disease typically occurs in children aged 7 to 12 years and is often associated with repetitive stress or overuse of the elbow joint.
