Marburg virus disease is a rare and severe hemorrhagic fever caused by the Marburg virus, a member of the Filoviridae family. It is characterized by sudden onset of fever, chills, headache, and muscle aches, followed by symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, rash, and impaired liver and kidney function. In severe cases, it can lead to multiple organ failure and severe bleeding, which can be fatal.
