Limb salvage, also known as limb-sparing surgery, is a surgical procedure aimed at preserving a limb that is at risk of amputation due to severe trauma, infection, or cancer. The goal of the surgery is to remove the damaged or diseased tissue while maintaining the functionality and appearance of the limb as much as possible.
