Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Definition

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is a specialized form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) that involves the direct injection of a single sperm cell into an egg to facilitate fertilization. This technique is commonly used in cases of male infertility, such as low sperm count or poor sperm motility, to increase the chances of successful fertilization and pregnancy.
