Head and Neck Melanoma

Definition

Head and neck melanoma is a type of skin cancer that originates in the melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing melanin. It occurs in the skin of the head and neck region, including the scalp, face, ears, and neck. This cancer can be aggressive and has a higher risk of metastasis compared to other skin cancers.
