CT-Guided Bone Biopsy

Definition

A CT-guided facet joint injection is a minimally invasive pain management that involves the use of computed tomography (CT) imaging to guide the injection of a local anesthetic and/or corticosteroid medication into the facet joints of the spine. This procedure is performed to diagnose and treat pain originating from arthritic or inflamed facet joints, which are small joints located between each vertebra that provide stability and facilitate movement.
