Cryosurgery for Skin Lesions

Definition

Cryosurgery for skin lesions is a minimally invasive medical treatment that involves the use of extreme cold to freeze and destroy abnormal skin cells, such as warts, moles, or precancerous lesions. This procedure is typically performed using a cotton swab, cryoprobe or a spray device that applies liquid nitrogen or argon gas to the targeted area, causing the cells to freeze and eventually peel off.
