Central Nervous System (CNS) Lymphoma

Definition

Central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma is a rare type of cancer that originates in the lymphatic cells and primarily affects the brain, spinal cord, and the tissues surrounding these structures. It can manifest as primary CNS lymphoma, which starts in the CNS, or secondary CNS lymphoma, which spreads to the CNS from other parts of the body.
