Central nervous system (CNS) germ cell tumors are a rare type of cancer that originates from germ cells in the brain and spinal cord. These tumors can be benign or malignant and primarily affect children and young adults. The most common locations for CNS germ cell tumors are the pineal and suprasellar regions of the brain.
