Biography

Pasquale Patrizio, MD, MBE, director of Yale Medicine’s In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Fertility Preservation and Male Fertility programs, works with, both men and women, to create comprehensive plans to address and solve their specific infertility concerns and goals. 

He treats people who are pursing IVF and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection, egg donation and gestational surrogacy, and those requiring epididymal or testicular sperm harvesting. He also works with patients who are being treated for cancer and wish to preserve their future fertility.

Dr. Patrizio focuses his research interests on whole ovary cryopreservation, egg freezing, methods to assess egg and embryo competence, and ethical issues in assisted reproduction.

Dr. Patrizio is a professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at Yale School of Medicine. In addition to his work for Yale Medicine, he provides pro bono services and affordable IVF for patients in underdeveloped countries. Dr. Patrizio has been recognized as being in the top 1 percent of reproductive endocrinologists in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
