Biography

Kimberly Keane, PA, is a physician assistant who specializes in outpatient orthopedic care.

“I became interested in a career in the medical profession after hearing my father talk about his experiences caring for patients as a paramedic. I was not sure what path to pursue until I was in college. I had an amazing advisor who suggested PA school and things just clicked for me to go into the PA program when I graduated,” she says.

Keane says she enjoys how her specialty allows her to spend a good amount of time with each patient. “We get to know them, answer their questions, and address their concerns and questions,” she says. “We aren’t just rushing them through the system.”

Currently, Keane takes care of patients who have had joint replacements and have hip or knee pain, often from arthritis. “Everybody is different, and I like to talk to patients and figure out why they have pain and discuss treatments that are the least invasive first,” she says. “Options can include physical therapy, medications, injections, and surgery.”
