David Vermette, MD, MBA

Biography

David Vermette, MD, MBA, specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics. 

As an educator, Dr. Vermette’s interests encompass inpatient medicine, shared decision-making, and fostering empathy and joy in those pursuing medical careers. His research explores ways to promote better overall health for medical trainees.

He also serves as a co-director of the Clinician Educator Distinction pathway for the internal medicine residency programs. The pathway provides in-depth, hands-on experiences in medical education.

Prior to joining Yale Medicine, Dr. Vermette attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his residency at the Combined Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program at Yale, and served as chief resident during his PGY-4 year.
