Our Physician Liaison Program is designed to support our referring providers communication and collaboration with our doctors and their staff.

Our Liaisons are available to:

  • Connect you with Yale Medicine’s specialists
  • Provide information and education on new programs and services
  • Assist in the resolution of service-related issues
  • Connect you to the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, which provides support and services for participating in clinical research

Frank Mennone

Frank A. Mennone
Manager, Physician Liaison Program
Service area: New Haven, Fairfield and Middlesex counties

Frank is the Manager of the Yale Medicine Physician Liaison Program. He began his career at Yale working for the School of Medicine in 2005. Frank has experience in business development and continuing medical education (CME) programming. He is dedicated to delivering the highest quality service and educating referring healthcare professionals. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor in Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Loren A. Van Ostrand

Loren A. Van Ostrand
Physician Liaison
Service area: Hartford, Litchfield, New London, Tolland and Windham counties

Loren joined Yale Medicine as a Physician Liaison in 2014. In her former roles at Hartford Healthcare and Georgetown University Hospital, Loren worked extensively in developing strategies to enhance physician relations and communication between physicians and hospitals. Loren has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Management from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

Stephanie Weirsman

Stephanie Weirsman

Service area: Connecticut

Stephanie joined Yale as a Physician Liaison in 2016. In her previous role, as a Marketing Coordinator for Yale New Haven Health, Stephanie worked to develop and implement a marketing brand campaign for the community physician practice, which included a new website and physician referral call center. Stephanie has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Albertus Magnus College.

Lauren Messina

Service area: Fairfield county

Lauren joined Yale Medicine as a Physician Liaison in 2017. In her previous roles at Maplewood Senior Living and Greenwich Hospital, Lauren worked on developing strategies to increase provider referrals to maximize revenue growth. Lauren has her Master’s degree in Health Administration from Western Connecticut State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Scranton.
