After just her first few months of nursing school, Melanie Albright, CNM, MSN, knew she wanted to become a certified nurse-midwife.
“It is a privilege to care for pregnant women, to listen to their hopes and dreams, and to help make those dreams a healthy reality,” Albright says. “I stopped counting my deliveries more than 15 years ago when I hit 1,000 births, but I still find providing care to women throughout their pregnancies to be thrilling. Each delivery is unique and exhilarating.”
In addition to obstetrical care, Albright enjoys working with teens and young women. “I consider myself lucky to have many women whom I have nurtured over many years,” she adds.
