Julia Cron, MD, was initially drawn to the field of obstetrics and gynecology because she loves guiding women through the various stages of their lives. After practicing the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology, she now focuses on the care of girls and young women.
“The gynecologic needs of girls and young women are often overlooked, and I see myself as their advocate,” says Dr. Cron, who now specializes in treating the gynecologic needs of women under the age of 25. “I help them navigate some of the most challenging issues of childhood and young adulthood.”
Getting to know her patients, building relationships with them and helping them through medical obstacles are among Dr. Cron’s favorite parts of her job. She is also an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at Yale School of Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Cron is involved in women’s health advocacy at the local and national levels. She has served in several leadership roles within Yale New Haven Hospital, Yale School of Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
