Jaime L. Geisel, MD, is a radiologist in Yale Medicine’s Breast Imaging Program, which is part of the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. She cares for patients who come to the Breast Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital for breast imaging (mammography, ultrasound and breast MRIs), as well as breast biopsies.
“Sometimes, women are apprehensive, especially when it comes to having a biopsy to determine if a suspicious finding is cancerous,” she says. “I tell them, ‘We are going to take good care of you.’ It is my goal to get a woman through her biopsy and leaving with a smile.”
Dr. Geisel is also an assistant professor of radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine. “I care about my patients and their experience,” she says, “and I take pride in the work we do here.”
