Digestive Diseases

Since forming one of the nation's first academic sections of hepatology—and then gastroenterology, more than 60 years ago, Yale has had an enduring impact on treatment and research in the field of digestive diseases. We offer comprehensive care in liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and other disorders. At the Yale Medicine Transplant Center, we offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients undergoing liver transplant.

Our nationally and internationally recognized physicians are committed to translating laboratory discoveries into advanced, state-of-the-art patient care. We are home to one of only a handful of National Institutes of Health-sponsored liver centers nationwide and one of the most active programs in New England.
