Palliative care is provided to help patients get relief from symptoms during any stage of a serious illness. These symptoms might include pain and nausea, constipation, insomnia, depression, anxiety. At Yale Medicine, our palliative care teams draw from a variety of departments and may include physical therapists, social workers, and other specialists.
